New Horizons offers a variety of CompTIA courses and training. CompTIA has a vendor-neutral, award-winning portfolio of certificates and certifications. Many organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) mandate or highly recommend CompTIA certifications to ensure employees have the knowledge and skills to perform critical IT roles and important jobs.
For individuals, attaining industry-recognized CompTIA certifications means increased job security, additional career opportunities and increased credibility in the workplace. For businesses, hiring CompTIA certified workers means higher customer satisfaction, increased productivity and lower employee turnover.
CompTIA's Certification Framework
As of January 1, 2011, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ certifications will only be valid for three years from the date you become certified. An expiration date will now appear on all certificates and CompTIA ID cards. After three years, the certification can be renewed by passing the most current exam for a respective certification or by participating in the new continuing education program. In today’s IT environment it’s important for IT professionals to demonstrate that their knowledge and skills are current. CompTIA’s new renewal program includes a continuing education component that gives eligible certification holders a range of ways to keep their CompTIA certifications current without necessarily having to take a new exam.
Training Paths for CompTIA Certifications

As an Authorized Partner, New Horizons uses only CompTIA Approved Quality Content (CAQC) course curriculum. CAQC training content is reviewed by industry experts to ensure that publishers adhere to the high-quality of CAQC instructional design and maintain a 100 percent correlation to the exam. Students have a number of important study advantages with CAQC materials, including: complete coverage of all exam objectives; implementation of important instructional design principles; and instructional reviews that help students judge their learning comprehension and readiness for the certification exam.
